It’s spring here in the suburbs of Chicago… finally… and probably only for a day as next week is back in the 30’s. But we have a day – today – to get outside, take a deep breath and enjoy the weather and outdoors.
But Spring also makes me think of new beginnings… what can you change in your life? I know if you are reading this Blog that you have some interest in diastasis… perhaps recently diagnosed; perhaps suspecting you might have one; perhaps referred by a friend. This can be a serious condition since it can lead to chronic back pain, tummy upset or irregularity, hip pain, neck pain… not to mention self-esteem issues. It is NOT a vanity issue and we need to stop thinking of it as that!
I encourage you to do something about it NOW! Get a belly check from a professional to see if you really have it; or if you already know, take the first step by calling me to set up a time to come in and begin healing your body. Healing your diastasis will accomplish much more than just feeling better physically (although that in itself should be a major motivator!); you will also be healing yourself emotionally. It’s amazing how the two are linked and I see that more and more every day.
